New Events Coordinator - September 25, 2008
FORESTVILLE, N.Y. (September 11, 2008) – Cindy Miller of Irving, NY, was recently appointed to the Events Coordinator position at Merritt Estate Winery. The position will include wedding, group event and festival planning at the winery.
After putting together events in 2007 and most of 2008, Merritt’s previous Events Coordinator stepped down from her position. “We’re definitely going to miss her,” said William Merritt, President of Merritt Estate Winery. “She did a lot of wonderful work for us including two year’s worth of Strawberry Festival and Septemberfest events. She also laid the ground work for America’s Grape Country Wine Festival. We are forever grateful.”
Cindy Miller was owner and manager at Primo’s and Kelly’s Pub in Irving for over five years. Her experience ordering food for large groups of people and catering events through the restaurant will be great assets to her new position.
“Cindy is a wonderful asset to our team and we are proud to have her fill this new roll with us. She is going to be handling wedding and group events on the winery grounds, as well as working with our Marketing and Promotions Director, Edwin Rodriguez, and our Special Projects Assistant, Anita Brown, on putting together the festivals for the following year,” said Merritt.
